A B O U T

I’m OTO neo, a 22-year-old Indonesian half-Australian aspiring mangaka, writer and creator. Growing up surrounded by my mum painting and my brother and sister making music, I found myself naturally going into the creative field, and especially growing up watching Studio Ghibli anime films and the occasional Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon, Naruto, Sailor Moon and many other anime on TV.

What got me into manga? Easy, Karakuri Dôji Ultimo. Its original idea and concept were written by Stan Lee, an American comic writer, and beautifully illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. My first manga, which is very special to me, of course it sparked my interest in manga, which I now love reading and creating.

For the past 5 years of my novice career, I’ve self-published a horror manga, Tell Me My Name, on Webtoon Canvas, entered the Silent Manga Audition (SMA19) and have been working on a myriad of one-shots to be released in the coming years. You will find my works on MANGA Plus Creators and Global Comix.
